The International Congress of Genetics 2023 will be held in Melbourne Australia from 16-21 July this year.

The AFGN is helping to curate two symposia in the congress focusing on functional genomics research:

1. Disease gene identification and functional genomics using animal models

This symposium with focus on disease modelling in animal models such as Mouse, Zebrafish, Drosophila and Nematode.

2. Cell & organoid models for human disease mechanisms

The second symposium will focus on model systems including organoid and stem cells. Research that may fit into this symposium may include high-throughput screening models.

We encourage members to submit an abstract for consideration. A full list of symposium themes can be found here.
