The Involve Australia Working Group and Australian Genomics invites researchers to participate in a consultation for the newly developed Guidelines for Community Involvement in Genomics Research as a part of the Involve Australia project. These guidelines aim to support researchers and the community to create collaborative genomic research projects.

Involve Australia defines community involvement as community members actively working with researchers and research organisations to help shape decisions about health research priorities, policy and practice.

The purpose of this consultation is to gain the insights of stakeholders involved in genomics research, including researchers, community members, clinicians, patients, patient advocacy groups and peak bodies. Your input is vital to ensuring the guidelines we have developed are fit for purpose and are implementable.

Please use the survey linked below to provide your feedback on the guidelines. There is an option to complete a brief review (~1hr duration) or give detailed feedback (~2 hrs duration). You will have the option to save and come back to finish the survey later.

We encourage you to circulate this invitation within your network.

This consultation closes on the 26th of May 2023.

Please email Keri Finlay via keri.finlay@mcri.edu.au with any questions or concerns.

Thank you in advance for your time and expertise in the development of these guidelines. We look forward to reading your feedback.
